Its finished, my friends! And, I’m pretty happy with it. I think a few different designs will evolve, but it’s what I envisioned. I just listed this one this evening in my Etsy Shop.
Tracing and cutting the petals takes a bit longer than I anticipated, but I hope to grow faster at it the more I finish a few. Just a day ago, I posted a tutorial illustrating what I’ve learned thus far about sewing with Dresden plates.
It’s uncharacteristically warm here in the mid-west, but the boys and I took advantage of the beautiful weather today. My oldest is only three, and I’ve been blessed listening to him talk about the colors of the leaves. He’s growing so observant, and if there’s anything I’d want him to pay careful attention to, it’d be the wonder and beauty of our God’s creation.
