  10. Hi Kelli,

I just found your post for making the most absorbent bib for babies. I have made multiple bibs that in the end were not absorbent. I’m excited to try you patter/instructions. Can you email all the patterns, instructions and templates that you have produced for this project? I would greatly appreciate any help that you can offer.

    Thanks for your assistance,

If you have a pattern for a burp cloth as well

Would really appreiate it very much I am doing some baby items and of course this a last minute thing of her.
I plan on sending pics back to you.

  13. If you want to make this even more “moistureproof”, in between the terrycloth and the cotton backing, add a layer of “PUL”, which is a soft waterproofing fabric frequently used in making fabric diapers. Just be sure to read the “care” instructions for this fabric so it holds up thru many washings. I have found “PUL” at my local fabric stores (but much cheaper at Walmart)! I made many diapers quite successfully with this product!!

    1. Gail, thanks so much for your insight! I have never heard of it before and will have to learn more about it. I appreciate you offering your words of advice. πŸ™‚

Making some gifts for a new grandma and I am just wondering if this bib is suitable for baby or toddler. I am specifically looking to make for a baby. Thanks for sharing your pattern and please let me know!

    Thanks!

    1. Hi Karen, I originally made these bibs for a baby, and mine wore them this size. They are on the larger size, though, compared to many bibs found at retail stores. Is that helpful?

Great idea making some of these for a new grandma! πŸ™‚
