I promise this will be the last post for a while that just features fabric. I told you last week was all rain. I guess cloudy and wet days call for fabric buying in my house.
The first time I saw these girls was on Red Pepper Quilts. They were sold out at the time, and once I saw they were restocked, I ordered them almost immediately. It appears they are sold exclusively by Miss Matatabi on Etsy. I was concerned about shipping these all the way from Japan, but I believe it was only $5.00 for shipping.
I will be on the hunt for a good fussy cutting pattern soon so these precious beauties are well featured in the quilt.
These pair awfully nice right now the the fruit label fabric I’ve just discovered making its way around the quilting world. These are by Asuko Matsuyama. They are from her 30’s Reproduction Line. There are lots of great prints in that line, but these fruit label ones were my favorite.
I bought a fat quarter bundle of these Fruit Label fabrics from Vickie at Spun Sugar Quilts. I like all five colorways, but pink was by far my favorite. So…I went back and bought another yard of the pink. Aaaaaaaaaand some strawberry print.
If you follow me on Instagram, you know I’m in the midst of working on an economy block quilt for my three little boys at home. I told myself I needed something fun and ‘boyish’ for them. And now I’m off buying pink and more pink. I think I will love using these fabrics once I’ve finished my other four half finished quilts. 🙂
