Last night I went and picked up some old vintage French doors with perfectly divided window panes. I’m still not sure where we can use them in our home, but I’m… Read More

How to Sew a Cotton Gauze Baby Quilt

6 / 19 / 174 / 27 / 20
baby quilt made from gauze and wool batting. hand quilted.

My little guy, Miles, is almost four months, and I just finished up his little gauze quilt. I learned a lot using gauze on both sides with wool batting in the middle. This was also my very first attempt at hand quilting! I love having a few projects to do from my rocking chair in the living room (instead of always needing to be near my sewing machine.)

Sewing a Baby Blanket with Cotton Fabric, Wool Batting, & Double Gauze

2 / 3 / 172 / 3 / 17

I did a little experiment last week. And I experimented on a baby gift for a friend. I’m not convinced that was a good idea, but I think it turned out okay. 🙂 (Pink & Gold Wonderland fabric  |   Bambino Double Gauze  |  Wool Batting) I have never used wool batting. I was always convinced… Read More
