10 / 18 / 2010 / 18 / 20
The Willow Market Quilts, Robert Kaufman Junior Mammoth Flannels

I caught a glimpse of some of Robert Kaufman’s new Junior Mammoth Flannels on Instagram a week ago. I saw a few prints I thought would be beautiful for layering with pillows.

Then Came June Basics Bundle

Then Came June Basics Bundle. Robert Kaufman Fabric. Kona Cotton Solids.

Friends, if you ask me, this is a beautiful bundle. Truth be told, I bought it solely to make pillow covers from for my shop. It’s the first fabric I’ve purchased specifically to make and sell.

Warp & Weft Wovens by Ruby Star Society

I wanted to see what these wovens were like. They’re a bit outside my realm of comfort, but as I’ve entered into the world of texture, they had me curious.

6 / 1 / 207 / 5 / 20
Heather Ross 20th Anniversary Fabric, Heather Ross Quilt

All the fabrics so far in this post are from Heather Ross’ 20th Anniversary line, and you can find them in stores now. I’m going to these that plus some fabric from her other lines to sew a Checkered Garden Quilt for my 3 year old.

Then Came June Basics Fabric Bundle

Then Came June Basics Bundle

What is my favorite part of quilting? The answer may surprise you. The actual making of the quilts is not my favorite part. Is that strange? I don’t necessarily mind sewing (I actually do absolutely love hand quilting though), but a project never goes by without some sort of frustration.

Where to buy Jersey Knit Fabric

3 / 26 / 204 / 1 / 20
where to buy jersey fabric

I went on a hunt the other day to find some jersey knit fabric. I wanted some small cuts of jersey fabric to make some headbands for our new baby girl. This search turned out to be much more difficult than I had anticipated. I didn’t find many fabric stores dedicated to a good variety of jersey fabrics.

New Pillows and Open Road Fabric

2 / 29 / 204 / 1 / 20

Many times when I purchase new fabrics, I have projects in mind, but the fabrics must wait in line until its turn. (Sometimes the fabrics must wait years. 🙂 )

Darlings Fabric by Ruby Star Society

1 / 26 / 204 / 1 / 20
Darlings Fabric by Ruby Star Society

There is only so much time in a day to spend sewing, and I can’t make ALL the quilts my mind dreams up over the course of a day. I’ve been gawking at this Harriot Yarn Died plaid and this Harriot Yarn Died plaid for over a week now, but I haven’t purchased either. Yet I want to buy a yard of each. I’m sure they’d fit into many a perfect project.
